Looking ahead: Spring 2025

2025 is here and with it comes a terrific Spring list that will take Viper readers from the frozen wilderness of the Yukon to Australia’s Mornington Peninsula. Accompanied by battling barristers, hungry hounds and sinister serial killers, there’s something for everyone this season.

 

 

We’re kicking off the year with the return of Oskar Jensen’s reluctant Danish sleuth, Torben Helle. Last year readers fell in love with the knitted-jumper-wearing amateur detective from Helle & Death, and now he’s back to solve another murder. Helle’s Hound is a brilliantly witty, modern take on the Golden Age mystery, complete with a rather large dog.

In February we are publishing the first two instalments in Garry Disher’s celebrated series, Hal Challis Investigations, perfect for fans of Jane Harper, Ian Rankin and Chris Hammer. Coming from the king of Australian noir, The Dragon Man and Kittyhawk Down are chilling police dramas full of dark twists.

There’s wit and nail-biting courtroom drama aplenty in March’s A Trial in Three Acts. Guy Morpuss KC puts his expertise as a former barrister to the test in this mixed-media legal thriller. When a famous actress is beheaded live on stage a riotous and tumultuous trial is sure to follow…

Next up in April we have The Midnight King, an explosive thriller from Tariq Ashkanani and a must-read for those who love the darker side of crime.
